Zakat related

Question:

Sir a friend nd of mine had taken money saying he will return me but when i ask him about the money he says that he doesn't have money and he won't return. Then he say that i take that money as zakat from you. So is it permissable to take that money into zakat account?

Answer:

بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم

الجواب وبالله التوفيق والنجاح

Your loan can only be considered as Zakat if you had intention of zakat before the borrowed person spend that money from his hand.
currently the amount was spend by the borrowed person so it can't be considered as zakat.
